About Victorya

Hi, I’m Victorya.

I help women make wiser choices in life and love, grow closer to Jesus, and live with purpose, peace, and joy—even when life doesn’t go according to plan.

If you’re in a season of choosing a relationship, recovering from disappointment, or trusting God through something you never saw coming, I want you to know—I’ve been there too.

I’ve spent decades walking alongside women in those exact places. I believe wisdom means nothing if it isn’t grounded in truth, and knowing Jesus changes the way we see everything.

Faith • Relationships • Purpose • Real Life

The questions women ask about faith, love, and life are rarely simple. I write about what helps us navigate them wisely.

Love & Relationships

From Dating Disasters to “Happily Ever After”

Long before I wrote Finding a Man Worth Keeping, I lived it—years of disappointing dates and two broken engagements that left me wondering if “happily ever after” was even real.

Then I met my husband, Will, at the Golden Globes, of all places. We married when I was thirty-four, and I left Hollywood behind for the love and the life I’d hoped for all along.

Finding a Man Worth Keeping grew out of those hard, humbling lessons. The newly revised 20th Anniversary Edition brings together those hard-won dating lessons with the wisdom I’ve gained through nearly three decades of marriage and years of helping women make better relationship decisions.

Choose character over chemistry. Pay attention to red flags. And get ready for a love that can actually last.

Faith in Real Life

Faith in the Middle of Hollywood

For more than a decade, I worked as a Hollywood talent and literary agent, representing writers, directors, and producers—some of them Academy Award and Emmy winners.

I was also a devoted Christian in a town that didn’t always want to hear Jesus’s name. People sometimes made fun of my faith publicly—and then came to me privately for prayer when their lives fell apart.

My friends and future coauthors, Jim and Karen Covell, created a class to help Christians in Hollywood find the courage to share their faith, and I taught it too.

That experience became part of the foundation of How to Talk About Jesus Without Freaking Out and reinforced one of the deepest convictions of my life:

People want to know your faith is real, and your story might be exactly what helps someone else encounter God.

Why I Write

My heart: reach one million for Jesus—
help you know Him, strengthen relationships,
and find purpose and peace in your life.

Books get to go places I never will—into homes, into hard nights, into hands I’ll never shake—and keep doing their quiet work long after I’m gone.

My authored and coauthored books have sold nearly 90,000 verified copies, with titles published internationally and in multiple languages. I hold a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership from The King’s University.

But honestly, the classroom that taught me the most was life itself—mine, and the lives of the women I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside.

I’m also the founder of Thrilling Life Publishers, where I help Christian authors bring meaningful books into the world. Will and I live in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

I write and speak as Dr. Victorya Rogers,
while my books are published under the name Victorya Michaels Rogers.
